The magic of Everest lures trekkers from all over the world to trek along the best-known trail in the Himalayas – and this classic Everest Base Camp Trek is a once in a lifetime opportunity to stand in the shadow of the tallest mountain in the world. We have been perfecting this route for many years and it combines an outstanding trek through the heart of the Khumbu, with a gradual ascent, allowing you to fully acclimatize to the altitude while trekking to the Everest Base Camp. Everest Base Camp is not a specific site. Most of its popularity stems from the fact that it is the best place for making Everest Expedition camping. Different locations have been selected by various expeditions for semi-permanent camps during their ascent of the mountain. This camp is located at the foot of the Khumbu ice fall which is on the rocky slopes so it is a great place to view the Khumbu glacier.
